Creating a manager lookup field

Creating a Manager lookup field on the Application object enables Sage People to set the value of the new Team Member's Manager and Department, where the department is the same as the manager's department.

  1. Go to Setup > Objects and Fields > Object Manager
  2. In the list of Custom Objects select the Label for the Applicationobject.
  3. Select Fields & Relationships.
  4. On the Fields & Relationships page select New.
  5. Create a new field as follows:

    For Select
    Data Type Lookup Relationship

    Related To

    Team Member

    Field Label

    Manager

    Field Name

    Manager

    Child Relationship Name

    Applications1

    ...if the lookup record is deleted

    Clear the value of this field.

    Field-Level Security

    Set Visible for all Sage People profiles.

  6. Select Save.
